Unlike most sports photographers, I started out on the other side of the camera participating in traditional team sports through my youth, high school, and college. After playing college football, I made the move to individual and less traditional sports and I still enjoy racing downhill mountain bikes today. Every sports photographer has his favorite sport and his favorite venue.
For me, nothing beats shooting a college football game in the mid-west on a crisp fall afternoon. It's the combination of the traditions and emotion, the explosive action on the field and the passionate fans who plan their entire lives around their favorite team’s home game schedule; there’s nothing else like it.
I’m currently a freelance photographer based in Phoenix, Arizona and have traveled the world capturing images at sporting events in Australia, New Zealand, South America and throughout the United States.
I’m always looking forward to my next great image.
